Review on ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Enhanced Radius Arm Bushing Kit - Moog K80007 by James Lesley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Urethane has some disadvantages, it requires a lubrication system. Research first!

They fit the brackets perfectly and are like new. I have used them with the K8776 and K8777 bushing kit mounts, they fit well. Pros - Truck grips and drives are great. Doesn't knock under the ground, tracking is stable. Cons - a lot of "spreading" or "cold flow" that confuses me. After a short time they began to creak as the mounting grease wore off. I would like someone to post instructions on how to re-lubricate or add grease fittings before undertaking the thankless and frustrating task of replacing them. I would definitely be wary of installing them in "elongated" damaged mounts. Requires a clean and precise fit/torque. Be sure to get new nuts from Ford for radius arms, they are disposable. If these last a year and eventually stop squeaking I will raise the stars, I will definitely consider your lithium based lubricator and grease options if you are looking to stop the truck from squeaking. Next time I'll think of rubber bushings if I can find them, what difference does it make if they only last 10 years. Due to the "cold flow" of the material, they cannot last for several years. Broken stars for 1. Lack of instructions 2. Squeaks and lubrication not recommended 3. Vibration-transmitting material not suitable for normal driving. Recovering from sloppy handling, truck clangs to safe, straight truck. Update 2 years later: the creaking noise is gone most of the time, apparently a small amount of silicone grease that I applied generously a couple of times to isolate the noise helped somewhat. Despite the "cold flowโ€ of the material, the bushings work perfectly. At the similarity collapse I checked the caster and the collapse - all fine. If I ever change the bushings again I will make sure to put grease fittings on the brackets to allow for synthetic/lithium grease injection if needed. Added a star, bushings still work, 22 year old trucks go straight.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Safety
