Addi is my favorite circle. They cannot be beaten in a tight circle. In terms of interchangeability, they are neck and neck with Chiaogoo. What you prefer really depends on what is important to you. I have both sets by the way. That's how they compare, IMO. Needle Points: Addi points are blunt and smooth. Actually the smoothest I've ever used. Absolutely my favourite. This is a very personal decision. If you prefer sharp needles, Chiaogoos is for you. They are conical and pointed. There is no wrong option here; that's totally subjective. However, as knitters know, knitting with needles, whose tips don't work for you can be a killer for knitting. Cords: Both are good. The Addis comes with a flexible cord that doesn't look like the cheap plastic cord often seen on circular needles. Mine are gold but I understand the blue ones are exactly the same. The color indicates the country of manufacture I think. For reference, I've repaired Addis with both blue and gold wires and never noticed any difference between the two. The interchangeable metal Chiaogoo headphones have a durable yet flexible red cable with plastic metal braiding. These are my favorite strings. You never curl up when working on a small project, which Addis can do at times. For reference, the interchangeable Chiaogoo wood set (which I also have) comes with a clear plastic lanyard that is very different from the red one. Luckily, wooden pins can be used with red strings, which you can also purchase separately. Red cords are also called "Chiaogoo". When connecting, the needle is twisted into the end of the cord, creating a smoother connection between the two pieces. In short, when the ending matters most, choose the one you need. If connecting the right thing sells, you'll go for Chiaogoo. The Chiaogoo connection twists the needle into the end of the cord, creating a smoother connection between the two pieces. In short, when the tip matters most, choose the one the connection you need is what sells you, you will choose Chiaogoo. You choose what you need.
