Review on Enhanced BenQ EX3203R Monitor with FreeSync DisplayHDR - 31.5 Inch, 2560X1440P, Curved Design, HDMI Connectivity by Ryan Blaze

Revainrating 5 out of 5

BenQ EX3501R is a great monitor for work and play =)

I've had this monitor for a month and a half now. I wanted to go back and review this monitor because I wanted people to know about my experience. Most importantly, this monitor has a beautiful picture and is very easy on the eyes with long hours of use. I am very concerned about this monitor as it is a VA panel and not an IPS panel like most monitors. VA panels have some downsides, both positive and negative. One of the positives is the excellent contrast ratio, and this monitor definitely has an amazing contrast ratio. The downside is that VA panels can have ghosting issues. This monitor has some ghosting when running at 60Hz. However, if you buy this monitor, I strongly recommend running it at 100Hz. This is a 100Hz panel so you should still be running it at 100Hz. As a general user looking for ghosting, it has virtually no ghosting at 100Hz. As a gamer, I disable VSYNC in games and use the RivaTuner app (recommended by a friend) to cap the output frame rate at 96Hz. I then use the new nVidia drivers that support Freesync for GTX 1080 and up and have had great success with them. All the games I like to play work without any problems. Of course, if you don't want to mess around with freesync, just leave the game's frame rate unrestricted and copy it. I paid full price for this monitor (about $750 at the time) and have no regrets. I give this monitor high marks in every respect. That's beauty.
