Review on RBP 918857 Donaldson Filtration Technology by Steve Guillen

Revainrating 1 out of 5

So RBP puts the logo on the air intake of Volant Cool and gives it a hundred.

To be honest the only good thing about this kit is the filter which is a different brand than the intake housing. The Chinese-made case is a poor fit, being almost entirely molded plastic with a lid that bolts on top and doesn't even have the quality to actually sit in the frame type, so that's what it looks like there. Self-tapping screws for screwing in the mass air flow meter? Looks cool from afar, but is actually cheap. You can find one of these at Volant for around $300-$330. What attracts me is the logo. Now they cost the same product for $100 if not more for a logo? RPG brands are what you pay for a name. I've looked at some exhaust tips and they were outrageous, but I definitely wanted to get a set until I found out they don't make them for 2.5" pipes. So I do a little more digging to see what they have and they actually make an adapter to make it work. Each adapter costs $65+. So the jets cost a total of $390. REAR OUTPUT. But to each his own anyway. Imo I wouldn't buy it. I don't think anyone should. Put these guys out of business, that's what I'm thinking. And the guarantee is no better. negative, but I like this donaldson powercore filter. Guess I'll get it for my AFE entry :)
