First I will list the pros and cons and then give a brief description. Please note that I haven't had to live with them yet, it's only been a day. Pros: - They look very nice - Easier to change grip orientation than other brands (but see cons below) - Great price. Cons: - The handle is a two piece construction held together with a set screw. I see them weakening over time. Tolerances are noticeably weakened. You need to turn the lock into place to lock/unlock - The striker plate is either too long, not standard, or not curved enough (protrudes too much and leaves the door crooked - The mounting flanges on both the striker plate and the deadbolt are assemblies square, not rounded - non-standard lock orientation (although that's more of a preference) I've installed about 8 of these so far when replacing the original equipment in my house The first thing that struck me was that the mounting plates are square in shape well all my locks have rounded indentations so if you have the same thing expect to pull the bit out.I really appreciate that the knobs are two piece to change orientation but in my life experience no matter how hard you tighten the set screw , it always pops out with time so that's why i'm worried about it the only thing that i like about these sc locks most concerned about are the strike plates. They don't seem to be standard. When using the original holes, the door doesn't close completely. It has about 1/8 to 1/4 inch more play than before. This allows the door to sag a little. Of course I could put the plates further, but that means more chiselling. This reminds me that when using the original holes, the strike plates stick out about 1/4 inch more than I would like, making them more visible than they should be. oriented, otherwise it will not be locked/unlocked. I'll see how I feel about them in the future, but right now I wish I could get a little closer to them.
