Review on Gigabyte M27Q-SA 27" Monitor: Response FreeSync, 2560X1440P, 170Hz | Flicker-Free, Height & Tilt Adjustment, Blue Light Filter | HD Display by Fernando Townsend

Revainrating 4 out of 5

1440p170Hz monitor with KVM

Great monitor for gaming, although HDR is a bit of a stretch. You can see the differences, although it's nothing special. At best, entry-level HDR. At 170Hz, this monitor runs smoothly. FreeSync runs down to 45Hz (preferably 30Hz), but then Low Frame Rate Compensation (LFC) kicks in, so this isn't a deal breaker. KVM is a bit testy (confused on rare occasions) but has no problem adding KB/m of input lag. It saves wiring space and is decently configurable in the menu. No KVM software is required, although it's only available for Windows/Mac, not Linux (not even a driver). The OSD controls are nice and fairly easy to switch inputs with the VCR. Some OSD functions appear unnecessary, such as B. the toolbar that displays statistics. If I wanted I would use an overlay in my game.
