Review on π SUUNTO 7 Sports Smart Watch with GPS by Agata Gajda α
A little disappointed, a bad purchase.
This is not a sports watch. It's a Wear OS device with the Suunto app, which also has a lot of questions. As always, a lot of things in it do not work or work incorrectly. Daily activity, notifications and all other settings are done through the Wear Os app from Google. That is, Suunto is not responsible for problems here. Workouts from the Suunto app on the watch go to the Suunto app on the phone and in fact this is all that this watch from Suunto has in terms of functionality and, as always, this company works very mediocrely. It was 2022. The next "best" Suunto watch does not have the Autolap function for training (it just counts 1 kilometer :))) ). No cards. No barometer/altimeter etc. Compared to Garmin even in previous years, it's just a "made in china" bauble. This watch only competes with Xiaomi in terms of functionality :)
- Compared to the 9th, notifications appeared and there is an adjustment of the vibration response. Which is obviously unprecedented progress for Suunto. The screen is bright, easy to read. but small, with huge bezels. There is a microphone, but no speaker. That is, it is . but of such quality that it is disabled for all applications and can only beep. The default setting "speech synthesis" in Google Assistant is enabled :) Of course it doesn't work
- The clock itself is essentially a concentration of shortcomings. - Screen with large frames. There is no transflective screen - to see the time you need to turn your hand, the same for notifications. To see the notification, you need to perform the correct hand gesture immediately after its arrival, if you are late, they will simply show the time. - Autonomy. If you try to flip through the maps on the watch, then this is 1% of the charge per minute :))) At the same time, there is no question of any search for addresses or building a route on the watch - they do not know how. If you use it as a wearable notification, then two days. If with one short workout, then a day. - There are no fitness functions. Any fitness tracker is much more useful for daily activity and sleep analysis. The phone considers everyday activity more correct if you carry it all the time in your pocket, and there is no sleep analysis here. - Price. On a similar operating system, 3 years ago, watches were released that still surpass these in all respects. Given the combined characteristics, the price is very high. The materials are mediocre, the functionality too. - This is not a sports watch. If you are doing something other than running in a circle of known length, then you can not count on the analysis of the results of the training "out of the box".
