Some bristles fell out when unpacking. It didn't bother me as I was only concerned with the performance and was very satisfied. Without applying force to my records, dust and small bits of paper sleeves were easily removed. As a new collector, I've realized how easy it is to get records dirty. I have found it necessary to literally clean them every time they are taken out of the case and again before putting them back in. This brush does the job; no more and no less. EDIT: After owning this brush for a while I got some static on a new mail order record (BØRNS - Dopamine LP) stuck to the "standard" paper backing when I tried using them after a quick brushing with both reinsert pages. 2nd EDIT: (same day as 1st edit) As soon as I switched to another record (Vista Kicks - Booty Shakers Ball LP) I noticed something in the bushes. Because it generates static electricity, all the dirt and hair I brush off ends up on the opposite side of the record, and I just discovered this while flipping this record back and forth after brushing it several times. For this reason I have to downgrade my rating to 4 stars. I guess it has affected my current collection of 10 entries at the moment which I have deleted all of, so.
