Robust, solid construction. The handle has a "surface" that makes it comfortable to grip and hold when wet. Also a good cable to wrap around your wrist to attach to yourself. Love! That you can unscrew the cap and hide stuff inside for safety (and waterproof!). I compared it to a regular plastic pen, which was slippery, flimsy, cheap, and didn't unscrew. Rugged construction, this pen floats as well as any other. I put both of them under water to see them come up again. The cheap model appears only fractions of a second faster. But I would prefer a better model.
