First. Don't use too much coffee. Typically, a French bench press takes 1:12. If you leave room for coffee, this mug will hold 380 grams of water. This would mean you would use about 30 grams of coffee. But don't do it. Espro recommends no more than 20 grams. Not because they want you to drink weak coffee. but simply because 30 grams makes the plunger stick out too far and dig into your nostrils when you try to take a sip. Even at 20 grams, the piston still sticks out a bit. It's more comfortable to drink in this position, but if you can find a separate cup to pour your coffee into, then you're spot on and your nostrils are safe. I give it 5 stars because it's a great French press. If the drinking function was the standard I would probably give 4 stars.
