Great abs but watch your nose when drinking out of it.

First. Don't use too much coffee. Typically, a French bench press takes 1:12. If you leave room for coffee, this mug will hold 380 grams of water. This would mean you would use about 30 grams of coffee. But don't do it. Espro recommends no more than 20 grams. Not because they want you to drink weak coffee. but simply because 30 grams makes the plunger stick out too far and dig into your nostrils when you try to take a sip. Even at 20 grams, the piston still sticks out a bit. It's more…

A glorified travel thermos, not a travel mug

Yes, the Espro fits in most car cup holders and will keep your coffee warm for hours, but unlike French Press's much cheaper Travelers mug, you can't do that out of it drink. it is while driving. This Espro is essentially a glorified thermos. The heavier coffee set has the top of the French press lever sticking out, making it difficult to drink from the lower thermos while walking or sitting, let alone while driving. No wonder the top lid is so long, but with a loop handle, it's not a mug. I…

The best portable press. Don't think twice.

I have 4 French presses. i love this one Easy to use and easy to clean. Very light and keeps you warm. (Slightly unexpected, but yes). I've used this quite extensively in quarantine. I've chosen to follow the more experienced approach to coffee in the guide. Visit the Serious Eats website or other coffee sites. You can dissolve and swirl after 3 minutes or stir after 90 seconds. Both achieve the same thing. You must counteract the CO2 by raising your floor (see photo). If you just pour and…

Better than aeropress?

If you're looking to take a one-shot coffee maker with you on a hike, this might be your best option. I have an Aeropress and I like it, but I hate taking paper filters with me. And it actually weighs less than an Aeropress! (9.8 oz for vs. 17+ oz for the Aeropress). However, it is cooked differently. The Espro is essentially a French press with two fine mesh filters to prevent coffee grounds from getting into your coffee (compared to the metal strainer of a traditional French press). These…
