Attention buyers! - These plugs are not what is advertised. The specs on Revain.com say it's a polarized plug, but it's not. It's actually a two-pronged, non-polarized plug. The internal connections of the connector that connect the wiring to the meter are compression fittings with a very loose fit which, due to the resistance generated by this poor connection, will become hot and create a fire hazard. The diameter of the hole in the terminal for connecting the cable to the connector is approximately 7/64" which should easily accept your standard 16 and 18 gauge stranded wires. Another point to note is that the connector is not UL (Underwriters Laboratories) certified. ) or CSA (Canadian Standards Association). This means that the product has either never been submitted to any of the organizations for compliance and safety testing, or it has been submitted and failed the required tests.
