I use this product with Crank Brothers Beater Style pedals. I live in Florida so it's always hot here. I have a small heel, but this product is adjustable so it fits perfectly! The base of the shoe is very stiff so it distributes the load well when cycling, but when walking it's far more comfortable than any cycling shoe I've ever used. There is no lump feeling on the boot. It's much better than my Shimano shoes for both riding and walking. However, its main purpose is cycling, not walking, I don't want to walk around in it all day. Although much cooler than traditional cycling shoes, they cover a much larger part of the foot than regular sandals. This allows you a nice snug fit which is necessary to transfer power to the pedals when cycling, but for everyday riding I still prefer flip flops or bare feet. If I go on a hard or long journey, I will wear this! I highly recommend
