I really like this inexpensive digital caliper. Sure, it's not as good as the more expensive models, but it's steel, good to see, easy to set up, easy to use. It comes in a case with a small screwdriver (for the battery cover - unlike the cheaper ones that slip and fall, this STAYS on two tiny screws) and a spare battery. There was already a battery inside, so everything was ready when I opened the box. No fuss, no fuss, just measure. Just set zero, toggle on/off and change millimeters to inches. Personally I mostly use the mm side, although I make beaded jewelry in the USA and most items are usually mm. I can measure exactly what I need with this digital caliper, SO GOOD. Affordable at just over $20, this is exactly what I was looking for. If you are machining parts or manufacturing to very tight tolerance factors this may not work for this application, in which case you will be spending a lot more from the change. This model is great for craft and home projects, repairs at work or in the car.
