Review on Biswaye Battery Adapter DCA1820 Convert by Deonte Bates

OK. can be rubbish

Hard to tell if this is a manufacturing issue or a technical limitation, but I had a Dewalt 5 amp hour (20v) battery when I was working with a Dewalt 18v 6 1/4" circular saw that ran through cut wet stock, pressure treated, 2x8 lengthways., and the adapter failed. At first I thought it was a saw, I tried other batteries and they didn't work either. I felt the saw and it's not warm, but I had business and I pulled out the wire saw to finish the job. There was a time when I took this adapter apart and saw that one of the wires was loose. I'm not sure if the connection to the terminal melted (due to a large battery, high load or a combination of both) or if it just loosened up and fell off. So I resoldered it and was back in business. I wanted to save 50% on the original Dewalt adapter but if the p Assassed, it's not worth it. Not everyone will have the time and knowledge to put it back together, especially contractors who have jobs. Separately. When I disassembled it I saw how easy it is. It's literally a clamp at the top that connects to your 18v tool (two pieces of metal) and a clamp at the bottom that connects to your 20v battery (four pieces of metal) and two wires that connect to their respective clamps are connected. No chips that I saw. So you're paying $18 for molded plastic, two short wires, and six 1-inch pieces of metal. It's not that a real Dewalt isn't that easy (I really need to take it apart and compare it), but it's crazy that it costs $18 for it. You could probably build something for $2.
