I work a lot with cords and wires in my job, so I use a bit of different cutting tools for that purpose. I am familiar with the Xcelite tools as there is a good range of them at work; This was the first brand new cutting set I've used. In short, they are excellent and I am happy with them. These are small scissors suitable for cutting very thin wire, although they work well with CAT5 network cables as well. They're small and sharp enough to make fairly precise cuts in tight workspaces like computer cases, and they make very clean cuts rather than tearing the material being cut. The handles are insulated, which makes them easier to use when working. around live wires (not recommended, but sometimes necessary). The insulation is made of a thick foam material that offers a comfortable grip and reduces fatigue. These are very nice scissors. I keep them in my tool bag at work and they have served me well.
