Review on J-B Weld ExtremeHeat High Temperature Resistant Metallic Paste - 3 oz by Dushawn Walker

Waste of money, time and effort

I prepared all the surfaces using a dremel with wire brush attachment. All surfaces became shiny, pure metal. The first impression of the product is very small. It says 3 ounces, but that's by weight, so obviously a lot less than 3 fluid ounces. However, it weighed less than 3 ounces on a verified scale even with the included tub, so I feel like I've been scammed. Next: It was a thick, dense paste, not the liquid you see in the video. I suspect this was because the foil was damaged or not sealed properly. It was the correct colour, brown/black separately before mixing and cement gray after, but the mixing was quite labor intensive as it felt like almost set cement when mixed. I made each step quick with no time between opening, mixing and applying to prevent it from curing prematurely. Being an almost dry cement consistency, it didn't want to stick at all when applied to bare metal. I made him stay by placing wooden objects to keep him in place. I waited about 30 hours. My setup to keep things in place worked. The epoxy is completely dry but not durable at all. Very light pieces of metal came loose with little to no effort other than their own weight. I attached a very light heat shield to the bottom of the car. The heat shield already had two good screws holding one side and the middle section; I only attached the other side where the bolt came from the bottom of the car. The connection didn't even last long enough to test drive the car. The epoxy was little stronger than a dried sandcastle. Strong enough to hold its shape, but I notice something else. I can crumble it with my fingers although it has had time to dry completely. In summary, this work took a lot of time and effort, and it was quite uncomfortable and disheartening to see the results. I will try to return this to the seller. The regular JB Weld was good, but this extreme temperature version was a total flop.
