UPDATE: OXO has finally responded to my query and I will agree with them in case of doubt due to the delay due to COVID staff. As soon as I sent photos of the broken snail, they quickly sent a new one. I look forward to your reply. When I first received this center punch, I really liked its ratcheting design. Unfortunately, after several successful uses, the handle fell apart completely when I was removing the core from a freshly cut pineapple. I didn't pull hard, but I ended up with a ratchet grip in my hand and the rest of the core stuck in the pineapple. After removing and reassembling all the parts, I found that the stoner no longer "holds together". I have contacted OXO through their customer support portal and while I received an immediate automated response to my message ("We reply to all emails within 24-48 hours"), it has been over 3 WEEKS and I have received nothing I paid extra for this drill because of the OXO name and the ratchet, but the ratchet was the weak link in this stoner. I understand products sometimes fail, but I am extremely disappointed with the lack of response from OXO. including a more expensive coffee maker), but I will think twice before buying any other OXO product.
