Although the replacement filling was just terrycloth on both sides, which is what I wanted compared to the one with a rag on one side, it wasn't absorbent. He pushed the cleaning solution across the floor but didn't pick it up again. I ended up having to use my old broken mop with a rag. I washed the replacement microfiber mop in the washing machine with other towels and rags, soap and bleach. I tried again and realized that it might have had glue or some other manufacturing material that was interfering with its absorbency. However, it does not absorb water, soap or floor cleaners. Waste of money and if I hadn't already thrown away the packaging and tried to use it twice I would have sent it back.
