Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Moog 81043 High-Performance Coil Spring Set by Tim Airy

Immediate drivability improvement

The 2001 4runner had some camber in the rear and the car bounced sideways on any bumps, which was the biggest concern. This was after the new rear shocks and front struts/springs had already been installed. Immediately after installation I noticed an improvement in ride and handling. No longer jumps sideways on bumps other than heavy washboards like any other vehicle. I see a lot of comments on the forums about Old Man Emu springs, but this is the third 4runner I've installed Moog springs on and they've greatly improved the looks and ride quality of all three. The first 2 were 2nd generation (1994) and unfortunately the first broke and the second blew the motor within 6 months of installing the spring so I can't vouch for durability but I can tell you straight away that they have been improved significantly. Also note that vehicle tracks on muddy roads are now much straighter as the springs don't shake the bodywork as much as they work. When the car swayed to one side in the mud before the springs were installed, body sway and soft road conditions made it difficult to keep the line on the road.
