🔧 Moog 81043 High-Performance Coil Spring Set Review

I deliberately waited to write this review so that I could rate the product after it had been used for a while. The springs went in easily. They work well, but the back of the 4runner is still lower than the front. A lot of people say to use 1999 OEM springs to keep the height at the right level. I have no handling issues, just a little disappointed that the truck sits lower than I wanted.

After looking through all the expensive options I settled on these springs. A thousand miles later: five stars. They fixed a slack in my 200,000 mile truck and feel solid. If you plan to tow (I tow a heavy boat) I highly recommend installing the Air Lift at the same time as the springs. The Air Lift strengthens your tail and you can even use it for extra lift if you want. Be careful with these jacks!

The 2001 4runner had some camber in the rear and the car bounced sideways on any bumps, which was the biggest concern. This was after the new rear shocks and front struts/springs had already been installed. Immediately after installation I noticed an improvement in ride and handling. No longer jumps sideways on bumps other than heavy washboards like any other vehicle.
