We use this cable as a connection cable between iPad Pro 12.9" v1 and 16-Port Powered Hub. Exactly what was needed - allows us to use external drives (you'll need to make sure your external hub has enough power - we use a 16-port hub rated at 90W) with the iPad Pro 12.9-inch v1. Works perfectly! With the recent addition of an external keyboard and pointing device connectivity in the latest versions of iOS, the iPad Pro 12.9-inch v1 can now (finally) be considered a serious replacement for computers. All of this is possible with the addition/use of this adapter!
