SEAS, a not-for-profit, all-volunteer sailing training organization, hosts regattas several times a year. The battery operated horn used to signal the countdown, start and finish of a race has been weakened by years of exposure to saltwater spray and rough handling in off-season storage. This pair of noises brought our signal box back to full strength! Noisy? Definitive! At one point, the race committee that runs it covered it with a towel to muffle the intense sound a bit. Double tones are clear. Everyone on the circuit, near and far, could hear them clearly.
