I have several wooden gates in my house to keep dogs out of certain rooms. I saw this retractable net and decided to try it. These gates need to be permanently installed, which isn't a problem for me, but I can see how it might be for some. It's strong enough, I prefer wooden gates, but it does the job. Our dogs will not check the gate, they will only see the gate and stop. So we were lucky there. Our cats were a bit reluctant to use this gate at first, but after a while they got used to it. I think what puts me off buying other gates like this is the price. Currently I can buy some wooden gates stronger than this for $60.99. Overall, this gate is great if you're installing a gate and want to leave it mostly. Also consider the price when purchasing this style. Waiting for a price drop or shopping will be your best friend here.
