I've had this light on cars several times, it's no joke, the beam spreads all over the road. The issue I've had with pretty much all of these lights is the battery life at the highest settings, which you get at just over an hour. I stopped using it at those settings so I now have a flashlight (500 lumens with battery) for a 1000 lumen flashlight. This light is lightweight so if you are trying to lose weight on your bike it will not help. but if you want to see and be seen, it's about as damn good as it gets
