They work just as well as any OEM sticks and cost a lot less! Once I installed mine, the difference was immediately amazing! Not sure if the previous ones were replaced and when as I was the 3rd owner of my car but it gave me peace of mind that the trunk wasn't going to fall off again and hit me in the head, especially not on cold days. Now it opens as soon as I lift the trunk! I highly recommend it. Also, I installed them on a 2007 Porsche 911 Targa 4 and they fit perfectly!
