Review on Victorinox Fibrox Chefs Knife 8 Inch Kitchen & Dining by Kara Torres

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent chef's knife!

The Victorinox Fibrox 8" chef's knife is the best chef's knife on the market, no matter the price. Its weight, its balance, its taper, its ergonomic handle design, the non-slip Fibrox handle, the hardened stainless steel blade (retains perfect sharpness. Edge) really couldn't be better. Sure, you're buying 8" chef's knives for 510 TIMES more than this Victorinox, but you're only paying for the cosmetics and the brand. Technically, I'd take this knife against anyone betting knife on the market. Its lighter, thinner blade makes chopping vegetables a breeze and less tiring than heavier forged blades, yet still has enough weight to cut through the toughest of zucchini.DO NOT wash this beautiful knife in the dishwasher or else ruin it ALWAYS hand wash thoroughly and be very careful or you may cut yourself with the washing sponge and/or d in fingers. Invest in a magnetic stripe knife holder, or even better, a general purpose knife holder (like the Bodum Bistro Utility Knife). holder) as the wood knife blocks dull blades and is NOT hygienic. Also invest in a good knife sharpener like the Presto 08810 Professional. Just a few touches of fine tuning will have your Victorinox razor sharp, and it only costs about $40, which is VERY cheap. Buy this knife. You will not be disappointed. When you get years of reliable service at an incredibly low price for what you get.
