THE BEST KNIFE I HAVE EVER USED.

Cooking pretty well I'm not a professional but sometimes I pretend to be. The best knife I've ever had. I use this knife many times every day, rarely use any other. It's very comfortable, well balanced, versatile and offers incredible sharpness when paired with Chef's Choice 4643 sharpener. I cut meat and vegetables faster and thinner than ever before. I was willing to shell out over $100 for a custom steel Japanese knife until I watched an American Test Kitchen video of various chef's knives…

Pros
  • All-purpose chef's knife for chopping, grating, slicing and dicing. The razor-sharp, laser-tested beveled edge is sharpened at just the right angle to ensure longer edge retention and maximum cutting performance and durability.
Cons
  • Still good

This knife has undergone some negative changes. Feels cheap now.

I used to have two of these knives and for the price I was more than happy with them. I recently had to buy a new one and compared to the other two this is clearly a different knife. This one has a less knurled grip so you don't have to wrap your hand much. It also has a significantly thinner blade and is SIGNIFICANTLY lighter. It looks like a cheaper version of the knife I've loved for years. I will be returning this knife as I am absolutely dissatisfied with it. Too bad these are wonderful…

Pros
  • Hygienic, dishwasher safe, non-slip, NSF approved. These exceptional knives are weighted and balanced for ease of use.
Cons
  • Only available in white

Excellent chef's knife!

The Victorinox Fibrox 8" chef's knife is the best chef's knife on the market, regardless of the price. Its weight, balance, taper, ergonomic handle design, non-slip Fibrox handle, hardened stainless steel blade (holds it perfectly sharp). Edge ) really can't get any better. Of course you're buying 8" chef's knives for 510 TIMES more than this Victorinox, but you're only paying for the cosmetics and the brand. Technically, I'd put this knife up against any knife on the market. Its lightweight…

Pros
  • Modern textured handle with non-slip surface even when wet. The handle is ergonomically designed to minimize wrist strain and provide a much more comfortable grip.
Cons
  • It's OK

Excellent budget chef's knife

Victorinox 8"chef's knife My review of the Victorinox 8" chef's knife. I bought this knife on 11/24/2020 after seeing a review of the best "budget" chef's knives at the American Test Kithen. Arrived on 11/27/2020. Not bad considering the holiday got in the way. As you can see from the photo, this is not a cheap Asian fake or a used knife wrapped in a few layers of bubble wrap. Came in sealed factory packaging. Straight out of the box this knife was insanely sharp. I put it through the…

Pros
  • Swiss Article No: 5.2063.20 printed on the blade. This is exactly the same knife as the 40520, 47520, 45520 and 47520.US2. The only difference is how the knife is packaged.
Cons
  • I will write later

A workhorse at a great price!

I work in a health kitchen and need a new chef's knife. Since I don't like leaving expensive knives lying around in the kitchen and don't want to fiddle around with knives, I was looking for a decent knife at an affordable price. I own some incredibly expensive knives and I take kitchenware very seriously, so I was surprised when this knife exceeded my expectations and lived up to the hype surrounding it. I got used to it quickly and it does a great job with the basic everyday tasks I use it…
