11/24/17 - Firstly, as my question could not be answered in advance and I took a chance with this exhaust, YES it works with a filter pump. You'll need to make sure your ring clamps are aligned so the hardware doesn't stick out on the filter to make room for your filter, but it will work. Installation can be tricky if your engine is in your car, mine was on a stand and made everything so much easier. Thinking the exhaust might be bent since I couldn't fit it onto the #4 studs, I grabbed a pry bar head and saw that it fit really well, then noticed I had a bent exhaust bolt. The exhaust itself sits properly on both exhaust ports of the heads. I would suggest loosening all of your engine's self tapping screws and removing the bottom of the cylinder, then tightening everything/refitting the can once the exhaust is 100% in place. What's in the box? Well, more than just a silencer! It comes with 2 exhaust gaskets and heat riser gaskets, heat riser/lockout fittings and an EMPI aluminum fresh air hose part number 00-3494-0 for your heater boxes if required. Ordering just this muffler and the EMPI Muffler Installation Kit 98-2989-0 will provide you with all the necessary gaskets and most of the hardware. The reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating is that the fresh air supply hose mentioned above was completely smashed into an unusable condition. Let's face it, these hoses average $7 to $11. If you order it based on the use of this part, you cannot do this. I'll update this review after I've installed the engine in the car, a few more months until then.
