In comparison, it's a lot cheaper than going to one of the local shops and just buying oil. I originally purchased this product from Severny Tool and the equivalent was almost double the price of standard oil, not the best synthetic oil. I live in South Florida and use this compressor for sandblasting, it keeps the compressor noticeably cooler and has less dirt in it when I change the oil. Now you only have to change the oil twice a year instead of once every two months, which is also a very nice benefit. I went ahead and bought an additional 5 liter oil jug. My Ingersoll Rand compressors use just under 2 liters so you don't want to run out of water to fill the tank. Another thing is that you have to remember to blow out the air filter from time to time because I do it so long between oil changes now that I don't just do it when I change the oil.
