The Ankylin Cordless Microscope requires almost no stand and base
Even if it is inconvenient to use later. To get or place the microscope, you must unscrew the nut completely. Perhaps they need it for those who solder radio components on boards, but for simple dynamic interesting applications it is rarely used. Also the black smooth base doesn't look that black in the photo (see attachments).
