Bulky, efficient, but dangerously weird

Whatever you do, don't set the fan speed below 35. The fan stops and the control box turns on the heating coil to a dangerous level (glowing orange hot) in an attempt to maintain the temperature of the airflow. Once the fan kicks back on, that superheated air blows out the nozzle and fries whatever you point it at. That being said (and admittedly that's a pretty big drawback) it's a handy, if cumbersome, hot air finishing tool. A good complement to a standard soldering iron and small enough to fit in a tool box.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Fix
