I'm not a fan and I don't have a complicated coffee machine (only Cuisinart). The coffee was delicious the first time we tried it. Then I started boiling the water before brewing. It was important! It didn't have the heaviness I find in other coffees like Chock full o'Nuts or Starbucks. Maybe it's the medium roast. I don't know, but all I know is that I could definitely drink more than other brands. While it's more expensive, you also use less coffee when brewing since it's finally ground. Has a great smell every time I open the tin which does a great job of keeping it fresh and looks a bit classy too. I don't recommend buying it unless you have a much above average coffee maker. They don't recognize the true quality and taste. I recently bought a Bonavita coffee maker as I just got tired of boiling water. I look forward to using the Illy with my new machine which should have better saturation and a near perfect heating temperature. I'm sure it will improve my drinking experience.
