Have used them for many years. Maybe not the easiest, but certainly not the hardest. They may lack the "wow factor" of carbon, but they're more practical and durable, don't require friction paste and aren't much heavier. They may look fairly simple, but after a while you'll realize that minimalism is the ultimate aesthetic and that the highest quality is unconditionally superior to anything else. Adjustment can be tricky at first (basically a slight turn of one screw, then another; repeat), but for those who demand perfect tuning there is no other way. Bonus for the effort: Each Thomson comes in a cool little carrying case. Class.
