Advantages: This vacuum cleaner has a strong suction power and more power for a smaller vacuum cleaner. When I first used it (hoovered my family room for a few minutes) the bin was about half full. My husband almost didn't believe me when I showed him how well he works in such a short time. He was blown away by how much the vacuum could lift and he was equally shocked by how dirty our carpet was! The size of this vacuum cleaner is convenient for storage, easy to maneuver and carry up stairs. Its pivoting head allows for good mobility and ease in small spaces like under and around tables, table legs etc. I'm impressed with how close it gets to edges. The waste container is very easy to remove and empty. As a person with a herniated disc in the back, it's nice not having to bend down every time you fill up. The wand and hose detach easily and the vacuum is very versatile and works well in the car, on stairs, in cobwebs under the ceiling etc. I've even used it on the top edge of my baseboards and was pleasantly surprised at how effective it was. We did a one-pass test, placing three different dirty items on the floor: baking soda, sea salt, and random bits of junk. The vacuum cleaner worked great. Cons: The vacuum is heavy because of the dustbin, so be careful if you have small, curious children. The power button is inconveniently placed at the top, but cannot be reached with the thumb when holding the vacuum cleaner. It does not matter; It's just not the best design. Less vacuum means a smaller vacuum head width that doesn't cover as much surface area, but I find the compromise worth it. This vacuum is corded, which might be a "con" for you, but I ultimately prefer the reliability that a cord offers and I don't have to worry about it running out of power before I'm done. This vacuum cleaner claims a self-cleaning brush roller. I dare say that this is not entirely true. About 20 minutes after cleaning, the roller stopped working because hair got wrapped around it. However, there is an indicator on the vacuum that shows if there is a problem with the reel, so you can easily tell when something is wrong. I had to turn the vacuum upside down at least 4 times to see what was going on. It was usually wrapped in hair (not much) but one day I couldn't figure out what was going on. So I ignored it and the next time I turned it on everything was fine. Once I accidentally sucked on an invisible girl and she didn't like it. On another occasion, the passageway to the trash can was blocked and it took me a while to locate the problem, which turned out to be an easy fix. For me, it's a bit irritating with the brushroll, so I'm on the fence. about whether I can recommend it or not because it is so expensive. But when it works, it works great and I love it.
