This desk is great because: 1 - it's solid, the monitor never wobbles 2 - the top shelf is height adjustable for my 24 inch Samsung monitor. 3 - the second shelf holds my laptop. I put a portable bluetooth keyboard on my desk and can use my laptop screen for seated work. 4 - My display settings are set to mirror my laptop's screen on my monitor. It takes about 5 seconds to switch from sitting to standing (or standing to sitting). It's a heck of a lot faster than going from sitting to standing with one of those expensive motorized tables. Here's how I do it (don't miss a step, ha!): a) Stand up b) Close the lid of the laptop c) Move the portable keyboard from the desk to the top of the laptop and the Bluetooth-enabled one Mouse (if you are using one) next to the laptop, d) Press the power button on your monitor.
