Review on C2G Display Port, 4K, USB Powered, Display Port Monitor Splitter - 2 Port, Black - Cables to Go 54291 by Zach Flores

This adapter never worked, I tried it with multiple cables and devices. I finally opened it (I'm an EE). This horribly designed, non-functioning $15 adapter that Revain sells consists of two connectors and a printed circuit board (PCB). The whole thing is then dipped in epoxy which is then covered with cheap Chinese plastic. It took me forever to open it to see what was wrong with it. It was a ground wire. It probably never got attached, but the people who made this thing didn't notice since all the epoxy held it in place even though there was no solder. I took pictures of the cheap innards of this connector but can't find a place to post it here. Just take my word for it, what they are doing is basically a $15 robbery. There is another connector on Revain and they charge $25 for it, looks the same. Since there aren't many Displayport connectors, one tries to avoid the rip-off. At least make it work.
