I've had 9 motorhomes, all towed and this is by far the best hitch I've owned. Everything about this clutch is designed for tough use. Installation is relatively easy if you follow the manufacturer's instructions. I bought this hitch because I was tired of the friction controls that require you to take them off when reversing and this hitch has sway control built in. Updated 10/01/21. pick up ie SUV. He moans and groans whenever you make a turn, so be prepared for some strange looks around the campsite. There's also a learning curve for hitching and unhitching if you're used to old chains. It takes some time to figure out what a lifting tool is and where to place it to turn the bars on and off. Once you understand this, it works fine. If you're buying this hitch and don't have a jack on your van I suggest you spend your money and buy one as it will save you a lot of sweat.
