I like the sticky, soft feel and shape of these grips. With these handlebars I feel the safest on the bike. That puts me in a naturally good driving position. The only drawback is that there is actually no protection for the handlebar ends. In an accident, they tear quickly, which makes them ugly. The black set pictured is my old standard thickness set. Aside from looking ugly, it was still completely usable. I finally have a new set of blue in a thin line. I also got a new set of gloves with added palm protection and vibration dampening. This combination absorbs vibrations much better than standard thickness grips with standard MTB gloves. I would recommend these knobs to anyone who wants the best performance no matter how fragile they are. Ergon can improve on these grips by redesigning the bar ends with high-impact materials.
