Short circuit, cheap junk
I spent hours soldering LED strips, some wires and these cheap connectors for my ice shack. In my hut everything was finally soldered, connected, closed with the zipper and connected to my 12 volt network. Everything worked fine for about 4 seconds and one of the connectors shorted out and started smoking. This would have been a quick fix, but I found that the other terminal on the line was also shorted and melted. I had to cut them out. I will order better ones to replace everything. Here are a few more hours of my life. What a waste. I want my time back!
