Review on ๐Ÿ›ผ V500 Adjustable Men's Roller Derby Inline Skates by Jason Caldwell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great choice for teenagers just starting out. (Now UPDATED 9 months later)

My son is about 9 years old and wears size 6 shoes. He enjoys roller skating and I wanted to buy him a decent roller blade who wouldn't break the bank because 1) kids that age don't always stay interested in things for very long and 2) his feet are growing fast. I received them and was a bit suspicious because some of the reviews said they weren't very good quality. But I have to say that they have held up very well. We skate in the city parks and on the streets and he falls quite often so these skates are a little wobbly. But so far they are completely intact. He wears them with thick socks and says that after many hours of riding he hasn't had any pain in his feet, ankles or legs. I suspect the wheels aren't very fast, but to be honest this is a feature and not a bug for a young beginner. The last thing we need is for his skates to fly out from under him, as sometimes happens with very fast beginner skates. Also, they look really cool and the yellow and black color scheme is pretty nifty. So far after about 2 months of fairly frequent use they seem comfortable, durable and lots of fun for my boy. Maybe I just got lucky, but I highly recommend them for beginners. UPDATE: So we've had them for 9 months now. And my son's shoe size is bigger. But these skates still fit him. He used them regularly on the ice rink, on the sidewalk, and at the skate park. He gets pretty proficient at inline skating and these skates handle pretty rough conditions very well. I ask him regularly how you are feeling and he always says you feel great.
