So I read a lot of reviews and almost didn't buy. Our grips were about 5 1/2" and people said it would only work with 5" or less. However, a review I read said it was 6 inches wide the entirety of it. So I thought why not. If it doesn't work I'll send it back. None of these reviews are telling you that your mounting holes should be no more than 5 inches apart. Your handles can be 10 inches long if the mounting holes are only 5 inches apart. The only downside to this is that the plastic appears transparent in the picture and is a smoky gray color. Clear plastic would be much better. My husband attempted to install a drawer pull without this tool and it took 3 hours. for a box. Immediately after delivery we tried it out. Started to finish 7 more drawers and 2 cabinet doors in 2 hours. Just installed the hardware. It was the removal of the boxes, their reinstallation. It saved a life.
