In my case the answer is yes. The Schwalbe Marathon Supreme (700x38) is the perfect tire for my bike and my riding style. I have used other tires most recently the Continental Gator Skin (700 x 35) which I have put on for over 3000 miles with no problems, punctures or complaints. They were and still are great tires for me. As I was preparing to replace the Conti, I decided to fit the old Schwalbe Marathon Supremes that were on the bike (700 x 40) that had probably done over 3000 miles on it and I couldn't believe how much smoother those old worn out Schwalbes were. felt compared to the old worn out Contis. Again, don't knock on the Conti. I only watch pants. 700x40 was a bit bigger than I wanted so I went with 700x38 as I never liked how 700x40 fit my fenders. 700x38 are perfect for my riding style. It's like riding a trusted cloud. They roll so beautifully. I appreciate the added visibility of the reflective side panel. This is a great safety feature for those who drive on roads in low light conditions. I can't believe I will ever use a tire other than the Schwalbe Marathon Supreme (700x38) on this bike. I hope they turn out to be as puncture resistant as the two sets of tires in front of them. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so I have no hesitation in saying that these tires are perfect for cyclists.
