Works best in slabs

I didn't know any better after collecting my Quadrafire from our local dealer, after cleaning it and replacing a part I put it back in and it worked perfectly. Since this pellet stove was rarely used, it stopped working properly after about two years. After some troubleshooting, I found that the thermocouple cap was missing, causing the thermocouple to burn out. Don't blame yourself, but always make sure the ceramic lid is on. I bought this thermocouple and cap and everything works fine. When purchasing this item, be sure to purchase a cheaper cover identical to my old one. I have a Quadrafire 800 and it fits three or four different models.
