Review on 🌑️ Temtop Rechargeable Temperature and Humidity Detector by Keith Harris

inefficient information display

The sensors are generally reliable on this and other temptops, and the display is big and beautiful. I like the wall-mounted design as I can see it from anywhere in the room - I don't have to go to my desktop device or pull out my phone and open the app. I already have a Temtop P20 which I like, but wanted to get a P1000 for another room as it tracks CO2 - a key metric for us at the moment considering we keep the windows closed due to bad air from California have to. Wildfires and without ventilation increase indoor CO2 levels. I already knew from the pictures that the presentation is suboptimal; PM2.5 readings are unnecessarily large and leave a lot of unused empty space next to them; the temperature (quite useful for me) is minuscule; but there is no clock. But when I got it, I was amazed to find that it could only show the temperature in Celsius and not Fahrenheit - that was key for me. I sent it back. Another issue with the display, on both the P1000 and P20, is the decimal point, although the PM2.5 display is nice and large, tiny making it difficult to read from a distance, say 5.30 (healthy) and 53.0. (dangerous). You should use a smaller font for decimals. Other minor quirks: the backlight isn't adjustable (can be annoying when used in the bedroom) and the P1000 only comes in black (while the P20 comes in black and white).
