Part of me wants to give this microscope zero stars, part of me wants to give it 5 stars. Why zero? Really bad build quality. The stand has painful injuries. The lens clip is so rough I thought someone cut it off with a handsaw. The zoom lens fell off. It is held in place by 3 small screws that need to be re-tightened. The instructions are poor, especially when it comes to which connector is for the camera and which is for the LED light. It's best to take a close look. Although both use 12VDC, the polarity is reversed! A ribbed wall wart goes to the LED, without a rib - to the camera. The battery in the remote control is dead. So, here's what I would recommend you have on hand when making your purchase: 1. A tiny, tiny flathead screwdriver. Tip less than 1mm. 2. Spare battery CR2025 and 3. optional microSD card (max. 64GB). And hold your breath I have a feeling this setup could fall apart at any moment. Why 5 stars? It's easy to set up. I don't take pictures so I won't comment on the shooting capabilities or the computer interface. I used my own HDMI cable to connect to a 55" TV for live viewing. The picture quality is just awesome. Much, much better than expected. Good zoom range. It's easy to focus. I really really want to give 5 stars because the picture quality is very good. But I know it can fall apart if you're not careful.
