Helping our picky eaters stay interested at the table

Here we state the obvious - our 3 year old son who is obsessed with construction equipment just wanted to play with them when we first brought them to us introduced to meals - and he lost interest in food. So we put them aside for a few days and set clear expectations for the next time we get them: It's for groceries. Now he happily pushes food into a forklift and chews. This helps him maintain his interest in the table long enough for him to eat until he's full! My husband thought some of the edges were sharp but I guess that's normal for a three year old. sticky feeling. Better quality than I expected!
