Wow. My Timneh African Grey, the great destroyer of things, spent many hours tearing up this mat. She cut it into small pieces with surgical precision and thoroughly enjoyed it. She's cut the blanket several times where the rings attach it to the cage, but that's not a problem - I just move the blanket to another loop and let her do it again. As other reviewers have pointed out, little cups are the perfect place to hide treats for her to find and dig up. She needs to work on it, but it's good - it helps her get bored when she has a task ahead of her and she enjoys completing it. I will buy another one when she finally destroys every piece of it (this will take some time) because she had so much fun with it. Get one of these for your bird! As far as I remember the description is for smaller birds but bigger birds can enjoy it just as much if they like tearing things up and let's face it - most birds love destruction!
