Review on DECKER 10 Speed Blender Black BL2010BP by Natasha Boulden

The blender motor started smoking and smelled like burning when blending smoothies after 1 month of very moderate use. Since the purchase I have used it about 6 times, just mixed fruit and juice, there have been no particular problems. This happened 2 days after Revane's return policy so nothing to do here. They put me in touch with Black&Decker who ended up offering a replacement of the same model which shipped within the next 7-10 days. I'll probably buy another brand in the meantime and "gift" a replacement to someone I don't care too much about. Before that I wasn't very happy with how the speed buttons worked, and to turn them off you press the same button as "Impulse" so it always revs up when you turn it off. possibly the cause of a possible fire, right?
