Pretty feature rich for the price

The device is quite feature-rich for the price. Generally very happy with the installation. Pros: 1.) Cost 2.) The interface is easy to use for the most part. 3.) The iPhone app is pretty good. I really like it compared to others I've used and the increase in time ranges for recorded video is nice. 4.) ONVIF worked on the first try. 5.) Motion sensitivity is good during day and night 6. ) Image quality/processing seems better than some devices I've tested. Cons: 1.) The standard VGA output resolution was higher than the first monitor I used. This is my fault, but I accidentally turned the device off and back on while troubleshooting. What I didn't know (because I couldn't see it) was that the first boot was the initial configuration page. The first time I turned the device off and back on, it didn't reset me to the original configuration, so I couldn't log in. The solution was to restart the device by pulling out the tiny built-in battery and restarting. The best solution would be if the software recognizes that it hasn't been configured, and run the initial setup wizard again instead of downloading it. as if configured. Also a reset button so I don't have to take out the battery. 2.) I'm only using 4 of the 9 possible cameras, but I don't see a way to disable the other 5 cameras from recording. 3.) Documentation. It came with a one-page setup that was minimally useful. Some better troubleshooting and configuration docs would be appreciated. 4.) The web app is good, but it wasn't obvious to find it (again, since it wasn't in the documentation). I searched for "hdview" in the iTunes Store and the app that came up (listed as "HDView" for webcams) does not work for this device. I had to search the web to find out it was called "SuperLive Plus". The pros far outweigh the cons and I would recommend this unit as a good entry level dash cam. If you can afford a $2,000 system go for it, but it works pretty well and costs a lot less. for webcams) is not suitable for this device.
